Design a Home That Feels Good
ABOUT DAMA
Hello & Welcome!
My name is Dama, a UX designer turned interior décor blogger. I help you make your space into a home you’ll love, no matter its size. My focus is on making your home functional for daily living, while ensuring it remains beautiful and inviting
From Digital Design to Home Design
For the past five years, I have been designing digital experiences, turning user frustrations into user-friendly solutions. At first, I didn’t see a connection between UX design and interior design, but now I realize they’re closely related. Just as there are pain points with devices and tools, there are also frustrations with decorating a space—especially if you’re a renter like me
Applying UX Principles to My Home
I decided to apply my UX training to address the challenges I faced while decorating my home. My goal was not only to create a beautiful environment but also a space that serves its intended purpose. For example, when arranging furniture in my living room, I used painter’s tape to “prototype” the layout, which helped me figure out the best setup for the space
Supporting Renters Facing Design Challenges
That experience made me realize many renters have similar struggles. So, I created this blog as a supportive resource. Whether you’re hunting for furniture, choosing colors, or getting organized, I’m here to help every step of the way.
What you can expect from me:
- Functional, renter-friendly ideas you can actually use
Small-space solutions that balance function and style
Simple styling tips that don’t cost a fortune
Organizational ideas to keep your space calm and clutter-free
Fun facts about me:
- I’m a big foodie. love food! My motto is, “If there is no food, I’m not coming.”
- I enjoy assembling furniture; I find the challenge therapeutic.
- I love being by the ocean.
- I used to model and enjoyed collaborating with photographers to create art through photos.
